After one week in Traverse City,
I have decided, it is DEFINITELY the place for me to hang my hat for a while. It’s a small town feeling, where it seems everyone knows everyone, but there are big city options when it comes to business, culture, sustinace, and libation.
As I was walking toward my first meal with Brian and Sarna at the locally famed Poppycocks, I came across this spot…
Which seemed to be a very positive sign! I then found awesome cider everywhere I looked!
With a decent beer bar with tons of Michigan brews and beyond, 7 Monks, is just what the doctor ordered.
I even found a pretty rad veggie spot which was transplanted from the southeast, called Om Cafe
I’ve been drinking locally roasted coffee, found lots of local beer, a decent distillery, a pretty great music scene, and a lot of pleasant people.
This week, I will even be sliding into an available room downtown.
I’m looking forward to the next few months in this magical place.
So many thanks to Brian and Sarna for hosting me during my transition!
