Wealthy theatre… Saved by the Grand Rapids Community Media Center (who are also responsible for the greatest little radio station on earth, WYCE)and located just west of eastown on Wealthy street, is one of my favorite venues in town. Not only does it host an excellent array of folky music acts, stage shows, and the occasional burlesque… It runs the meanwhile movie series! It is a rotating list of flix that make me happy to be me. Everyone into cult classics will love it and should drop everything on Tuesday night! Head over to cherry hill for a craftt brew at Vivant or happy hour drink at the Meanwhile… Then pop over to the theatre at 8 for whatever silver screen awesomness is running. Buy a membership. It’s cheap. Not only are you supporting the non profit that gives so much to the community, but you can then enjoy a brew while you watch the film. Amazing what they can do these days….
