Spring has sprung in northern Michigan. The trees are waking up after the long cold hibernation, the squirrels are busy foraging for thawed walnuts that were overlooked during the fall collection… Everywhere you look, people are smiling, wearing shorts, teeshirts, and sun dresses… They’re planting seeds, planning gardens, grabbing ideas for their raised beds… I’m seeing canoes on roof racks, hands in hands on the boardwalks, bicycles and motorcycles sharing space like they never will for another 12 months. It’s a beautiful time to be alive, barefoot on the Ground, soaking in the sun with wind on the skin.
On the home front, my back yard has turned into a shadey umbrella of horse chestnut. Which I get to look at every day perched at the helm of my new desk.

Even the Kid’s Creek is happily alive!
{steelhead, I think}
The bay is clear and I’m in love with the morning ride on the TART.
I even stumbled onto a few morrells and cooked them up for a delicious spring treat!
A few weeks ago, I enjoyed a birthday dinner with friends and fam from all walks of Michigan… It was really nice to hang with everyone!
It’s been a fantastic spring…
I’m already looking forward to what excitement summer will bring!
