After a two year hiatus, the much anticipated Wednesday Night Dinner has finally been resurrected for a one night only special event. For years, Barb hosted a potluck / block party / gathering of loved ones that quickly became a midweek staple and, dare I say, crutch for the Daytona area crème de la crème. The scene was always a lively one, filled with people of all nationalities, beliefs, and views coming together to share a feast prepared by everyone, while creating conversations that inspire the mind and body. So it goes without saying that the evening was sorely missed and was highly anticipated when the buzz of its rebirth began to find the ears of the local who’s-who.
And so it began.
What started with a relatively small spread of delicious clam or portobello sauce over pasta quickly became
Feast with Mediterranean, Indian, Italian, and, of course, good old American hot wings.
Those who didn’t bring food, brought other wonderful gifts like cedar to split and burn
Or their operatic voice for a very BIG rendition of “Happy Birthday” for the three closest birthday celebrants.
Top it off with an “eastern health tonic” from Angela
… that had a striking resemblance to Jägermeister and a drum session to jump and shake to, I’d say the evening went off with nothing but smiles and laughter…. everyone had a great time!
Thanks Barb! What a cool event…
I’m sure I speak for EVERYONE when I say, ”
We love you so much and can’t wait for you to open your doors again soon!”
