The trees are waking up after the long cold hibernation, the squirrels are busy foraging for thawed walnuts that were overlooked during the fall collection&#8230; Everywhere you look, people are smiling, wearing shorts, teeshirts,  and sun dresses&#8230; They&#8217;re planting seeds, planning gardens, grabbing ideas for their raised beds&#8230; I&#8217;m seeing canoes on roof racks, hands in hands on the boardwalks, bicycles and motorcycles sharing space like they never will for another 12 months. It&#8217;s a beautiful time to be alive, barefoot on the Ground, soaking in the sun with wind on the skin.<\/p>\n<p>On the home front, my back yard has turned into a shadey umbrella of horse chestnut. Which I get to look at every day perched at the helm of my new desk.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/trail.walkofirresponsibility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/wpid-wp-1401452521011.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"wp-1401452521011\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/trail.walkofirresponsibility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/wpid-wp-1401452521011.jpeg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Even the Kid&#8217;s Creek is happily alive!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IcYy3jztAvA?rel=0\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n{steelhead, I think}<\/p>\n<p>The bay is clear and I&#8217;m in love with the morning ride on the TART.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/trail.walkofirresponsibility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/wpid-wp-1401452617506.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"wp-1401452617506\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/trail.walkofirresponsibility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/wpid-wp-1401452617506.jpeg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>I even stumbled onto a few morrells and cooked them up for a delicious spring treat!<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/trail.walkofirresponsibility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/wpid-wp-1401452647116.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"wp-1401452647116\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/trail.walkofirresponsibility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/wpid-wp-1401452647116.jpeg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>A few weeks ago, I enjoyed a birthday dinner with friends and fam from all walks of Michigan&#8230; It was really nice to hang with everyone!<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/trail.walkofirresponsibility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/wpid-wp-1401452759161.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"wp-1401452759161\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/trail.walkofirresponsibility.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/wpid-wp-1401452759161.jpeg\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been a fantastic spring&#8230;<br \/>\nI&#8217;m already looking forward to what excitement summer will bring!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spring has sprung in northern Michigan.
